I used to live by the bastardization of Descartes’ famous line: Cogito Ergo Sum.  My version, which I am sure will send ripples of the willies up the spines of the fluent in Latin goes: Incognito Ergo Sum – I hide therefore I exist.  I maintained stealth presence on the internet for over 14 years, with almost no means of finding me on search engines. But there is a cost to that, if you hide, and you are good at it, no one knows you are there.

So, realizing that if I want to make a living out of my writing, my art and/or my ideas, I should probably be “findable.” Thus, my departing from the comfort of abject obscurity to partially exposed in a world overwhelmed with too much information. Here’s hoping my foray pays off. Oh, and if you think I may be your ex-husband, boyfriend, dog watcher or whatever, I am not. So, um, keep looking somewhere else…
